Steps to Publishing

FROM INSPIRATION TO CREATION!

• These are the steps to publishing your book!

• The music must either be your own original work, licensed, or in the
   public domain to be published

• You submit the music to us in audio or manuscript form

• You prepare any text, preferably in a Word document

• You decide on the page size for your book: 9x12 (Industry Standard),
   8 ½ by 11 (letter-sized), Octavo, or other

• You submit any diagrams, illustrations, photos or other visual images,
   or we can design them for you

• We transcribe your music if necessary

• We edit your text manuscript

• We assist you in choosing a page layout, overall design and fonts, and cover art

• You choose the binding style (saddle-stitch, perfect bound or spiral)

• We engrave your music and layout and format your book

• We do final editing

• You specify the number of copies to be printed or
   we give you a final PDF
